We may be heading into Aussie winter in the coming months, but if you ask me, there’s never a bad time to enjoy a deliciously crisp slushy. Whether that’s a frappé, frozen cola, or a spiked slush, the Ninja Slushi does it all. That said, its newest sibling, the Slushi Max, has just crash-landed in Australia, hoping to do it all but better.
Arriving in Australia today (April 20), the Ninja Slushi Max was designed to turn almost any drink into a frozen beverage faster and smarter than before. The suped-up slush maker originally debuted late last year in the U.S., reaching viral status on social media during the festive season.
The new machine sports an extra-large 4.4L vessel and holds 1.8L more than the Slushi — perfect for hosting and entertaining a crowd of frozen beverage lovers. The larger capacity means more frozen drinks for more people, and the Slushi Max is fast, churning up to 12 drinks in a single batch.
The Max harnesses the same five one-touch presets found on the Slushi; however, the latest evolution incorporates “SlushAssist Technology”. According to Ninja, the tech acts as “the behind-the-scenes expert”, autodetecting liquid ingredients in the vessel and adjusting the temperature for perfect results without any trial and error. Plus, the brand claims the Max can brew colder than before, meaning it can handle higher-alcohol-based drinks with ease.
These new upgrades don’t come cheap, though, as the Ninja Slushi Max is priced at AU$599.99. Considering the Slushi retails at AU$499.99, that’s an AU$100 increase for a frozen beverage maker double its size. That said, in the past year, the Ninja Slushi has been frequently discounted, costing as much as AU$334.99 during Black Friday 2025. While I don’t anticipate the RRP shifting too much for the Max in the coming weeks, I wouldn’t be surprised if discounts appear during peak sales season.
In addition to the Slushi Max, its predecessor has just received a glow-up in two fresh limited-edition colourways. Aptly named “Frosé” and “Margarita”, the new pastel hues are similar to the vibrant Slushi models found overseas — and I’m so glad they’ve made their way Down Under. Who needs dark coloured appliances anyway? I certainly don’t! The new colours are priced at AU$399.99 RRP and are available directly from Ninja.
