IMO, there’s nothing better than finding a damn good deal to help save on your internet bill. In 2026, having a fast NBN connection is a daily necessity, with more Aussies using the internet for convenience in their everyday lives. From online classes to working regularly from home, it pays off in strides to have a great home internet plan with good speeds, reliable customer service and of course, a monthly fee that doesn’t break the bank.
As Tom’s Guide’s resident NBN expert, I analyse monthly data to find the best NBN deals for most types of Aussie households. My picks largely depend on a few key factors: speed tiers, connection types, and attractive pricing, particularly introductory offers and low monthly fees. Not to mention, I am often checking user reviews, typical evening speed (TES) claims and of course, quarterly ACCC broadband data reports.
After putting all of those elements together, I’ve found three excellent internet plans for March, ranging from NBN 100 to NBN 1000, that tick all my boxes. Even more impressive is that my picks below all charge less than AU$90p/m for the first six months, which is cheaper than the average price for a slow NBN 50 plan (approx. AU$86.68p/m), yet they offer up to 20x the speeds of the latter’s 50Mbps downloads.
Enough with the hullabaloo — here are my top recommendations for the best Aussie internet plans in March 2026.
