“These drugs are designed to be taken while eating a reduced-calorie nutritious diet and participating in a physical activity plan,” she says.
What to Do Instead
If a full meal doesn’t appeal to you, Yusupov suggests eating a protein-rich snack, such as plain yogurt, cottage cheese, an egg, or tofu, instead. Throughout the day, aim to eat lean protein and other nutrient-dense foods, along with enough fluids, Novick says.
